There really are two answers to the question.

From the perspective of Luck you are good for each other in the long term. You see elements can have a constructive, destructive or neutral relationship with each other in Chinese Astrology. His Earth year element nourishes your Metal year element, which brings out the best in you. And his Metal month element nourishes your Water month element, further enhancing your Luck. Your day elements are neutral but in harmony (Water and Water).

Your animal signs don't match up so well. You will have to decide for yourself whether that is good for you both in the long term. But, I can give you some criteria to use when you make your decision(s). Do you prefer a relationship that is interesting and exciting to one that is comfortable and relaxing?
