He was born during the year of the Metal Dog, month of the Earth Rabbit and day of the Fire Pig.

Well it's easy to see why you're in the relationship. From a Chinese Astrology perspective it has a 66% favorable compatibility rating, which is very good.

I see only two potential problems, both having to do with your elements. He has an excess of Earth in his chart, and you have none.
