A transit is just what the planets in the sky do everyday, on a personal level its how they affect our natal chart.  We have had some major planetary movement over the past couple of years and more recently the planet Uranus went into he sign of Aries.  This will be a 7 year transit for the planet, and will affect your chart in the here and for the next year or so  The planets Pluto and Saturn are also affecting you natal chart.  So what it means is over the next couple of years you are going to experience events in your life as a result of this transit.
