Dear Mr. Hajdu,

I was wondering what would be the best upcoming month/date/year for marriage between a male born on October 8th, 1985 at 3:37am and a female born on May 3rd 1987 at 2:08am?

should we select a date that is in the year of the Snake or something similar?

Hi Charles,

The male was born during the year of the Wood Ox, month of the Wood Rooster, day of the Water Horse and hour of the Water Tiger.

The female was born during the year of the Fire Rabbit, month of the Wood Snake, day of the Water Rat and hour of the Metal Ox.

Actually, this year, the Year of the Rabbit is good for both of you to get married. Next year is not auspicious for you. If you do get married this year, the best time to have a baby would be in the year of the Snake, 2013. A Dragon baby is supposed to be lucky and could get along well with your wife, but it may be difficult for you, in that an Ox-Dragon match usually results in lots of clashes of wills.

OK. Now for this year. There really is no hurry as most of the coming months aren't that good. The Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster and Dog months aren't that good, and the Sheep is horrible for you and the Rooster horrible for her. Your best bet is the month of the Ox, the last month of the lunar year, which would actually be late December and early January. The next best is Pig, which is approximately October-November time frame.
