Question
Went on a 1st date recently and all appeared to be fine.  Gentlemen asked me what my astrological sign was, and I told him "Sag" (he is a Taurus.)  

He freaked out and basically said that we would not be a good match.  Since it was a 1st date, it didn't bother me in the slightest; however, I am curious as to the compatibility factor between a female Sag. & a male Taurus.  Thank you.

Your gentleman was obviously not much of an astrologer. Otherwise, he would have known that you can't tell compatibility by only the Sun Sign.  If the Sun-sign were enough, that would mean that you would get along exactly the same with every Taurus on earth....and I can assure you, there is a lot of variety among the Taureans, who represent 1/12th of the earth's population!

True compatibility can only come by comparing two whole charts...checking not only your Sun Sign, but your Moon sign, Rising sign, Venus, Mars....in fact, all of the planets in your chart to all of them in the other person's chart.  

I have seen two people with Sun signs that are "not supposed to get along" have a long and happy marriage, because his Sun was conjunct her Moon, and they had wonderful Venus/Mars aspects.  I have also seen two people, who have Sun-signs that are supposed to be wonderful matches, have a relationship that quickly turns into a major war between them.

Don't confuse real astrology with Sun sign astrology...the pop stuff that shows up in newspaper columns and Cosmopolitan magazine.  

If you ever see that guy again, tell him that if he's going to use astrology to govern his life, at least be practical...use real astrology, not sun-sign pop psychology.

Also, astrology is NOT "What is my lucky stone?" or "What is my lucky color?" or "What are my lucky numbers?" Any astrologer who gives you a lucky object, or number, based on your chart, is not a real astrologer, but someone who is giving in to superstition. In order to find out how to enhance your luck, you need to have an astrologer look at your whole chart, and tell you what areas you need to focus upon, how to accent your positives, and work to resolve any problems that exist.
