PLEASE RESPOND! thanks
AnswerHi Jennifer,
You've chosen a good topic and ask some great questions!
First, might I persuade you to alter the title to "Forecasting and Prediction" or "Psychic Prediction?" I ask because the term "fortune telling" has, generally, a bad image.
I'll list your questions and then post my answers below each.
1. Does one type of fortune telling work better than another?
Each psychic, medium, advisor, or intuitive uses his or her own unique form of foretelling. It's up to the individual to figure out what works best for them.
Some use pure psychic insight alone, but I've found those who do this and also offer consistent, accurate reads are rare.
Others use tarot cards or tea leaves. Still others use palmistry, physiognomy (reading faces/bodies), and many other means.
I must say that I've found ancient (up through 1000 AD and even beyond into the 1500s) astrology and numerology to be the most accurate forms of delineation and prediction. Modern numerology is also good, but it's best, in my view, to use it in conjunction with ancient astrology and numerology.
I apply a unique, advanced form of ancient and Western numerology, along with ancient predictive astrology and some modern predictive astrology to assure a high level of accuracy. An extensive system of checks and balances is necessary for precision.
More specifically, outside of Western numerology, considerations in my charting systems are rooted in the more ancient forms of numerology including Hindu, Chinese, Pythagorean, Chaldean, Hebraic, and Phonetic.
In my experience, by itself, modern psychologically based Western astrology offers inadequate predictive accuracy. It is best used as a psychological personality analysis tool in conjunction with other modes.
2. Are certain people more suited than others to become a fortune teller? How do you learn to become a fortune teller?
Yes, I believe so. There are those who say that "...everyone has psychic ability; all you have to do is tap into it..." While I agree that this is true to a point, only some have the type of psychic ability that allows them to do this type of work professionally.
If they don't have the full range of pure psychic ability (most don't), then at least a heightened intuitive sense helps if they are more of a chartist (as in astrologer/numerologist) like I am.
Additionally, a sharp sense of discernment and a knack for objective analysis is necessary if you're doing chart work like I do. A lot of it can be learned, but it certainly helps to have a natural aptitude.
Beyond all of that, you must really enjoy and have the desire to do it.
How did I learn to do forecasting and predictive work?
In 1990, fate led Stephen, my twin brother, to present to me a numerology book. I was intrigued with the idea of numbers as qualities representing character, karma, and fate, and casually incorporated some of the concepts into my study of metaphysics. I had been informally studying astrology since the late 1980's. As with in-depth astrology, I immediately sensed great value in comprehensive numerology. In 1991 I consulted with a popular Midwest psychic who applied basic numerology in the session. Further intrigued with the science, I began collecting numerology books in early 1992 and quickly became obsessed with the science.
My approach to becoming adept with the sciences of numerology and astrology is straightforward: Collect everything worthwhile in print on the subject, extract every relevant consideration, aspect and calculation from text, and apply it in daily life endlessly; always be open to new ideas involving the sciences; constantly test and substantiate each consideration; eliminate those aspects that prove to be invalid; keep accessible records and train your memory to recall everyone's birthday that you meet; identify people with the qualities of numbers and planetary energies; become a diligent observer of human behavior; strive to understand the spiritual reason behind all life circumstances and look for number and cosmic symbolism behind everything; make your work efficient through technology; learn to meditate and do it every day, since new discoveries and confirmations furthering the sciences originate from the "inner world" and this is best accessed through regular meditation. Over time, the in-depth study of numerology and astrology becomes a process of intuitive development.
Learning numerology and astrology are like learning foreign languages. When you begin to dream in numerological and astrological terms, you are making great progress. Of course, natural aptitude, strong interest and desire (even obsession) and suitable timing (all discerned through comprehensive numerology and astrology) are all advantageous in becoming a skilled numerologist and astrologer.
3. Is it possible to predict your own future?
Yes, but those in my field are likely to tell you that when it comes to matters of the heart, for example, remaining objective isn't as easy as it is when you're doing the work for someone else.
4. What is the most interesting thing about being a fortune teller?
Serious, in-depth study of the ancient sciences of numerology and astrology (predicting personal fate) is literally a study of the meaning of life.
Becoming proficient with numerology and astrology accelerates personal growth and understanding, and demands that one lets go of ego-self (personality) outlooks (everyone has them to some degree). Comprehensive, objective study of these mystic sciences reveal incredible insight about human character and past, present, and future circumstances, making it very difficult to deny a lot of life's cold, hard truths.
5. What are some interesting predictions you have made that were real?
I've successfully predicted a lot of love life, financial, and other life circumstances for many, many people over the years. Most frequently, I focus on types of romantic situations and events, along with money issues.
To further answer that, I'll post some quotes from some of my clients, as seen on my "Testimonials" page
http://www.decadcorp.com/Testimonials.html :
“I really enjoyed my reading with you, Scott and have recommended your services to others. I felt that by combining graphology, numerology, and astrology in your analysis you gave me a more accurate reading. You ‘told it as it is’ rather than what I would have wanted to hear and I appreciate your help.”
(three years later, same client: ) "I think of the information you relayed to me quite often and about how accurate you are. I had a consultation with you about three years ago when I was single. I also asked you about the compatibility between me and my then boyfriend about a year ago. I'm happy to say that we married last year and that we are very happy. My husband was a relatively young widower before I married him. I quote you all the time about what you told me a few years ago, 'If you didn't get married before you were 28, you won't get married until you are 45.' I'm 46 right now and my husband married for the first time when I was 28 and became a widower when I was 45. Your reading helped me get through a difficult time. Thank you again for all your help. I appreciate it more than words can say."

"Thank you for the awesome readings and handwriting analysis profile. I am really pleased and excited about the information you gave me."
(One year later, same client: ) "Thank you for the reading today. Your reading last year was the most accurate I ever had! Today's reading was very helpful on what direction to take. I also enjoyed chatting with you."
"My friend who is a very successful psychic said that she looked at you and your brother's websites and said you are both 'in the Light' and that you are 95% accurate with your readings (I already knew that). You might have a new client. Thanks!"

“Having only my birth data, you accurately identified the years I came in contact with other cultures (travel), the year I got married, and also the year I got divorced. I don’t know how you do it, but I’m looking forward to the future as you described it!”

Although as the Mystic Twins (my twin brother Stephen Petullo and I: www.mystictwins.com and www.holisticmakeover.com), we don't normally do mundane predictions (i.e., natural disasters, etc), but the information below will give you an idea about Stephen's abilities as a medium/psychic:
(Quote from Stephen Petullo, twin brother of Scott)
"In February of 1998, as part of a Millennium Projection research project, I predicted the following: "Major airline crash in NYC before the year 2000; NYC evacuated due to bomb and terrorism threats; Terrorism threats seemed (to be directed) from a group who lives in remote Russia (they are not Russians); 2001 stock market crash- not just a dip as in Oct. '97." Although I was off with the timing of the airline crash prediction, I did accurately predict a stock market crash; 2001 saw the Dow Jones Industrial Average experience the most bearish week in history after the 9-11 terrorist attack.
6. What do you think are people's reactions to fortune telling in general?
I've found them to be mixed. Every field has practitioners that you are best avoiding, and prophesy is no exception.
However, clearly, there are many talented, well-meaning professionals doing the type of work that I do.
The more objective and educated a person is about the psychic sciences and predicting personal fate in general, the more likely they are to be receptive to the forecasting and prediction of personal destiny.
Since the Age of Reason (1600's AD) astrology and numerology (and psychic work in general) has been in a state of decline in part due to a prevailing condemnation under the guise of "logic," a distorted redefinition of the meaning of science, all but relegating the sacred science of astrology and numerology to myth and pseudo science.
From that time forward, the science authorities dictated that astrology and numerology weren't sciences because they didn't hold up under the scientific method, which involves logically compiling observable, measurable data.
That judgment is unfounded because numerology and astrology are sciences by definition, since results are consistently and empirically drawn from the same sets of circumstances. Science is based on observation.
Good luck on your paper!
Sincerely,
Scott Petullo
