Exactly, how do we determine the type of Gems that we can wear and to serve the purpose as a focus stabilizer and performance enhancer. I understand that in each cycle of our dasa/bhukti we wear different gems to serve the purpose. So, exactly how do we determine when to where which kind of gems.
Also, when it comes to the 'consecration' that involves 'cleansing' of the gems for personal use. How do we t triggers the stone's own consciousness in not a sermon-like way. What is the small ritual that we can do?

The first thing to do is to understand the planetary correspondences over the gems. Where most astrologers follow the correspondences as they are given elsewhere, I have my own doubts over how they are laid out by some 'authorities'. This debate however, can be quelled with some effective clinical work on gemmological essences. For instance, I am concerned over the general acceptance of Venus for diamond. whereas no fundamental properties of Venus is obvious in the stone; not the color, nor the hardness. This is something that must be resolved by the astrological firmament.
The appropriateness of the stone is not blatantly determined by absolute singular positions like which planet is in the lagna, and therefore that planet is deemed 'the' stone for the individual. This is a false and dangerous concept.
We go through different cycles, and in different cycles, the planets behave differently. That bhukti lord which was under an earlier different dasa could have been beneficial, but now, under a different dasa, that same bhukti lord can be malignant. Thus the gems that go with that graha according to the provisions of the individual's chart, will similarly take on different effects in different times. Therefore, the gem that corresponds to that planet similarly ebbs and flows in the changing of cycles. This alone nullifies the idea of a certain 'good' planet being solely 'good' for a whole life cycle.
To determine the most beneficial gem is a simple matter of determining for different cycles, which are the most beneficial planets for the person. And particularly, in which context. A certain planet might be good in relation to travels, but not so for financial success. This gives us another insight: the best way to use gems is to have a full set of gems so that the right one/s can be used when needed, for the right context.
The consecration is a process that bonds the wearer to the energizing stone. It starts the journey of togetherness where one's energies will build on the other's. This will create a synergistic intelligence between them.
A sermon-like or mechanical recitation means nothing to the intelligence behind the gems. One of the most powerful energy types will be spiritual-emotional excitement. An internal engagement that fills the senses with the essentials of an 'intention' or 'purpose'. The best way is to make the moment as austere as possible, and as personally 'real' and as 'meaningful' as possible. Cleanse yourself physically for the session, knowing that you ar absolutely committed to the session of what you are about to do. At the moment when the consecration occurs, it is crucial to have the gem within the sphere of your aura, cupping it in your hand if possible, and engage all your senses in an internal drama that is so real, that your emotions excite your blood enough to shudder or get goose bumps. This of course, is a simplistic approach, but it is an essential.
