Question
Hello,

My name is Mark and my DOB is April 17th, 1977.

My question deals with possible relationships. There is this girl who I have been friends with for about 5 years. Her name is Vicki and DOB is Dec 15, 1977.

There is chemistry between us, but she has a boyfriend of about 4 years. She hardly ever mentions him or talks about him.

I feel this girl is absolutely amazing, I think she may be "the one", but there is a major obstactle, her boyfriend.

What do you see happening? is there hope for me, or should I just to try and forget about her.

Thank you for your time,
MArk

Answer
Hi Mark,

You were born during the year of the Fire Snake, month of the Water Rabbit and day of the Wood Dragon.

Vicki was born during the year of the Fire Snake, month of the  Water Rat and day of the Fire Horse.

From a Chinese astrology perspective this match has a 58% favorable, compatibility rating, which is good but far from outstanding.

Vicki's three signs indicate that she is indeed amazing in that she is probably a very charming and dynamic person.

Unfortunately, your sign, Snake, doesn't match up that well with a person born in the same year. Also, your Rabbit month sign is not a good match for Vicki's Rat month sign. And, you both have a lot of Fire in your charts, which could lead to fits of temper and clashes of will.

You match up very well as friends but not so well as long term partners.

I can't really answer your question without knowing Vicki's boyfriend's year, month and date of birth. With your 58% compatible rating, there is plenty of room for his rating to be better.

Frankly, you can do better. You have two karmic signs, Snake (year) and Dragon (day). That means you are likely to experience a lot of extremes in your life. And, you are probably not the kind of person who is willing to settle for mediocrity. You are going to want a fantastic relationship.

Vicki is an extremely charismatic person (from her chart), but as charming and exciting as she might be, she is not likely to bring you the exceptional happiness you seek. You would probably be happier with someone two years younger or ten years older than you are (year of the Sheep).

No, i wouldn't "forget about her." She probably makes a great friend. I would, however, keep your eyes open for a more compatible match.

Chinese Astrology. I`ve done Chinese astrology for over 20 years, pimary experience Ming Shu style. I am NOT a psychic. I can't answer questions about when a particular event will occur, when/if your life will change, or what your spouse is going to be/look like. I do comment on relationships, career, personality analysis and life cycle chi, i.e., energy level and influences at each of the five stages of life. I evaluate specific relationships or can look at your love life in general. I can tell you your best career choices and whether the one you've chosen is good for you. And, I can identify the strong and weak times in your life. I've done work for Yahoo, astrology.com and onlinechineseastrology.com.

Experience

I've studied Chinese astrology for over 20 years now and done several thousand charts. My specialty is four pillars method, particularly as applied to evaluating relationships. I've also done Nine Star Ki and readings using Mah Jong tiles. My next step is to learn Purple Star astrology. It identifies many more chart details, but accurate readings are time consuming and dependent upon a lifetime of acquired experience.
