Hi Bill,
I am 22 years old and confused about what to dedicate my
career to. Right now I am studying Multimedia & Web Design and
have a year left to go. I don't always feel it is the "right" field for
me. I really have no idea what I want to do with the rest of my life, but
my career and profession is something I constantly ponder and worry
about, so it has to mean a lot to me. I was hoping you could help me
find some answers or just
clue me in

Hi David,

You were born during the year of the Water Dog, month of the Wood Snake, day of the Earth Pig and hour of the Earth Snake.

Multimedia & web design is an appropriate field of study for you based on Chinese astrology. You have high average Wood, Water and Earth in your chart, just the combination required for that field.

You have two problems that do not pertain to your field of study but to your achieving success in general.

First, you have no Metal in your chart. This means you are probably lacking the drive, determination and persistence needed to pursue a long course of study and then to stick with a career thought to retirement. You need to focus on this area. You can't change who you are, but you can change your focus and emphasize this.

Second, you are currently in the weakest chi (energy/life force) period of your life. At this time it might seem you have to work harder to take advantage of opportunities and to deal with problems. Life probably won't seem easier until after age 30. There isn't much you can do about this except to work hard and not give up. One thing that will help is to hold off marriage. Marriage closer to 30 than 20 will have a much higher probability of success. Early marriage is definitely not advisable.

As for general career advice, you are suited for a career as  
a writer or artist. The practical arts, such as computer design or landscape architecture are the most appropriate.
