About Bill Hajdu
Expertise Chinese Astrology. I`ve done Chinese astrology for over 19 years, pimary experience Ming Shu style. I am NOT a psychic. I do comment on relationships, career, personality analysis and life cycle chi, i.e., energy level and influences at each of the five stages of life.
Experience I've studied Chinese astrology for almost 18 years now and done several thousand charts. My specialty is four pillars method, particularly as applied to evaluating relationships. My next step is to learn Purple Star astrology. It identifies many more chart details, but accurate readings are time consuming and dependent upon a lifetime of acquired experience.

Subject: Water Rat/Metal Dog
Question Mr. Hajdu,
Sorry to impose, but can you please tell me anything about compatibility between a Water Rat (Sept. 18, 1972, Seoul, South Korea) and Metal Dog (Nov. 7, 1970, Los Angeles)? I've enjoyed the firepig.com site and still need birth hours for a reading. I believe there is a dearth of wood in the year, month and day? If an element is lacking/nonexistent, is it possible for the other elements to compensate? Thank you so much for your help. Your posted answers are great reading.
Answer Hi Nathan,
The first is born in the year of the Water Rat, month of the Earth Rooster and day of the Water Rat.
The second is born in the year of the Metal Dog, month of the Fire Pig and day of the Metal Rabbit.
From a Chinese astrology perspective this match has a 62% favorable, compatibility rating. Actually, the animal signs don't match up that well, but their corresponding elements do.
Your element balance is also good---except for one area. You two lack Fire in your charts. So, can you compensate for this lack of Fire?
Yes, but it probably has to be mutual to succeed. The easy thing to do is introduce Fire into your environment, candle light dinners, candles in general, sitting together by the fire place for example. It is also important to consider the implications of a lack of Fire.
There may not be enough excitement in this relationship. Thus, when the novelty of the attraction wears off, you two could drift apart. One thing you both could do is slightly (just a little) upgrade your wardrobe and general appearance. You can't change who you are, but you certainly can dress a little better and pay a little more attention to your appearance. This goes for both of you. Also, once in a while agree to do something "out of the box," something to put a little excitement into the relationship. Again, don't overdo it. If it is too much out of character, you won't enjoy it, and it could have a negative effect on the relationship. Just think about ways to keep it interesting. That's how you compensate for a lack of Fire.
If you would like to learn more about relationships, I highly recommend Shelly Wu's Chinese Sexual Astrology. Also, please visit, my site, www.firepig.com or www.onlinechineseastrology.com. If you would like a more detailed reading (and I recommend it), you can order one at the site for a modest cost.
