Yes, the signs of Aries and Capricorn are both Cardinal, hence square (at least by sign, if not degree) in this case, which naturally symbolizes tension, not ease. Also, the signs of Aries and Capricorn are generally both related to wanting to be in the driver's seat, so one person having to play the support role may not work very well.

How to handle that person and how can they approach you as well to avoid any "clash," considering you're referring to the Sun sign? Well, know that you could very well get along great with a different Capricorn Sun person and the Capricorn Sun person could just as easily get along great with a different Aries Sun person. It's most likley a lot more than simple Sun sign influence.

Nonetheless, perhaps consider these general concepts about Capricorn Sun people so that you can possibly understand them a little better, and in doing so have more compassion for them, thus make the tension easier to digest: they are often highly concerned about career and material accomplishment; they are often very calculating; they often have very strong wills.

The simple answer to your question would be to say that there is naturally going to be conflict involved, so don't try to fight it. Just accept it as it is and know that you can't erase it, but that you can accept it for what it is. There are many things in life that you can't change.
