Is there any chance of making a relationship work between individuals born on 9/18/79 and 8/31/73?

From a Chinese astrology perspective, this match has a 33% favorable, compatibility rating, which is not very good. The match has some chance of lasting and bringing you the happiness you seek, but the odds are not good.

To be honest you can do a lot better.

By the way, your months are Water Monkey and Metal Rooster, which is not a good match. It is not as bad a match as your year signs (Ox and Sheep), but it does matter and contributes to the overall, negative, 33% rating.
