Question
Hi Scott, Thank you for reading this.  My birthdate is 10/20/65 Phx AZ 12:35am.  My sister is an astrologer but I don't think she can read my chart without some prejudice.  She says I have an eclipse or saturn event coming in August, which I believe but she makes it seem like its going to be totally life altering and frankly it scares me.  What do you think?  She has even said I may become homeless.  I think she is unethical to say these things even to her sister.  Help please.

Answer
Hi Janet,

The event she appears to be speaking of is a Lunar eclipse at 4 degrees Pisces on August 28, 2007.

Sorry, I don't do personal readings here. Also, I would need all your birth data to give you my professional opinion, but I can supply you with some information.

This eclipse is important to you because your Moon is at approximately 00 degrees Virgo, which is opposed (think "opposition") by this Lunar eclipse in Pisces.

Hence, your inner nature, inner needs (to name just a couple general things the Moon represents), is opposed during this particular eclipse.

Without getting deeply into it, your Moon doesn't appear to be your basic chart ruler (which is different from the Rising sign/Asc ruler). The less symbolic potency your Moon has in your charts, the less important an opposing Lunar eclipse will be for you personally.

Eclipse energy typically is felt up to a couple weeks before the actual eclipse, and about a week after, with the core of it being during the Moon's sign in which the actual eclipse takes place (in this case Pisces, roughly from Aug. 27 evening to Aug. 29 evening).

Each eclipse means different things for each individual. In a broad sense, eclipses relate to endings, and symbolic death and rebirth.

I'd have to look into your charts to give you more specifics. But, as I say above, I don't do personal readings here.

I would have to look to see how your Moon represents your life, what it symbolizes for you personally, for example, such as profession, or finances, etc. At a glance, your Moon does not appear to be afflicted, which is a good sign.

Additionally, know that eclipses are, by themselves, superficial indicators and that there are many, many more important considerations, which are found through a comprehensive approach involving astrology and numerology.

Sincerely,

Expertise

Please note: I DON'T DO PERSONAL READINGS HERE. That means if you ask for a free reading, your question will be rejected.

I'm happy to answer general astrology questions, such as identifying a particular Moon sign or Sun sign that happens to be on the cusp, or identifying an Ascendant (Rising sign) or a ruler (or rulers) of a particular house, etc.

As an example, you might ask, "My 7th house (house of partnerships, relationships, etc.) cusp sign is Virgo, so which planet rules the house considering I have no planets in that house?"

Or, you might ask, for instance, "My natal Sun is on the cusp, in which sign is it?"

Again, I WON'T DO PERSONAL READINGS HERE. Also, if your question relates to modern, psychological astrology, I won't answer it since the bulk of my predictive work is done using more ancient forms (I find them far more accurate). I won't answer questions about Chinese astrology or Vedic/Hindu astrology either.

My expertise involves the application of ancient forms of astrology (and numerology) to interpret personal fate, and assess personality and compatibility. http://www.scottpetullo.com http://www.mystictwins.com
