Question
QUESTION: Hi,
I am making a documentary about midwestern archaeo-astronomy, and I don't know if you are the Ed I am looking for, but somehow I came across this after searching for you.  Since it is the best contact information I can find, if you wouldn't mind sending an email to me I will be more specific.  I hope it isn't rude to do this sort of thing on this sort of site, it's just the first line to you, if this is you, that I could find.  Thanks

ANSWER: G.,

Hello, I am not an expert in midwestern archaeo-astronomy, but I'd be happy to talk to you.  I may not be online too much longer tonight, but I will try to get back to you soon, if you miss me this evening.

What are you interested in, exactly?  What website prompted you to look for an Ed on AllExperts?  I have been answering questions here for... wow, perhaps ten years?  I may have answered a question long ago, on this topic, and no longer remember it.

If you really need expert advice, this guy would be helpful to contact:

Keep Looking Up,

QUESTION: Have you contributed to NEARA Journal?

Answer
OK, I see what you are thinking of.  I have been interested in this topic, for several years.  I don't remember publishing anything in NEARA, but I might have forgotten.  It's possible.

I did a review on Amazon.com for a Barry Fell book, which may have found its way into NEARA.

This spring, I am hoping to take a trip to Weymouth, near Boston, to view an old rock with some symbols carved on it.  It is the kind of thing discussed in the cover article of the Atlantic Monthly from January 2000:
http://www.theatlantic.com/issues/2000/01/001stengel.htm

The symbols may be some kind of Proto-Tifinagh, as discussed by Fell.

What are you doing your documentary on, exactly?

Expertise

I am not a professional astronomer by any means, but astronomy has been an interest of mine since childhood, and I am well-informed on the subject. If unable to answer someone`s question personally, I will know how to quickly find the answer online, because I keep myself informed about developments in the field and I know where to look for information.

Experience

I worked in an observatory for awhile at one point, doing various interesting things with a computer.
