Question
Why does the US flag on the moon stand straight out?  Was it designed that way?

Answer
It was just a plain old American Flag made by the Anin Flag company in New jersey.

The same one that you can buy in any Wal-mart, K-Mart, Target, etc.

But there was a curtain rod sewn into the top of it, and a wire sewn into the bottom so that it would stand out straight, since there is no wind on the Moon.
