Question
i live in Inglewood, CA in Los Angeles. Is it the north or the south hemisphere?

Answer
Hi,
I am sure susan that you are pulling my legs!
It is the northern hemisphere.
But do remember that for people on the tropics, in the northern hemisphere, quite a few southern stars would be visible, such as the powerful blue stars in Draco.

So I would suggest dont limit yourself to any hemisphere, rather observe all that you can, and learn visual identification by practice, till you know the northern and southern sky like the back of your hand.

Interesting objects are the coma and virgo cluster in the northern hemisphere the virgo cluster can be observed thru a small powerful binocular, very easily.

Jayen
