Question
What is the maximum and minimum distances from the earth to the sun during its elliptical orbit?

Answer
Hi Bob

This is pretty easy to find on the internet.  The maximum is about 94.5 million miles, and the minimum is about 91 million miles.  Mean is 93 million, which is also called an Astronomical Unit.  So the Earth is 1 AU from the Sun.
