| Comment | Thanks! My problem was in failing to understand angular momentum. It increases with the square root of R, not the inverse as i described. The web site that you provided is excellent -- I wish i could find such sites easily. Interestingly, the people who set up that web page originally made a mistake somewhat similar to mine (failing to understand conservation of angular momentum of an orbit) and the reviewers missed it too! Read down to angular momentum, and you'll see what it was. Thanks again. You made my week. No pleasure is greater than that of learning and understanding. | ||
