and main-sequence star orbits either a neutron star or a black hole.

The answer is just:

Gas from the main-sequence star makes an accreation disk around another object.

The main sequence star orbits either a neutron star or a black hole.

Hi Jayen,

Please stop pontificating and answer the question correctly. Your answer was wrong. The correct answer was:

Gas from the main-sequence star makes an accretion disk around another object.

and

The main-sequence star orbits either a neutron star or a black hole.

So busy worrying about why Mansi didn't mention the doppler spectroscopy and the to and fro wobble you got the answer wrong. Show us how much you know by giving us the correct answer, not by trying to show us how much you know. Sorry if I'm coming off as being ungratful for your effort. Just angry I got the question wrong, and I had five chances to get it right.
