Question
How far in space would someone have to be in order to get a full view of the earth considering it has a diameter of around 12,000 Km's ?

Answer
It depends entirely where you start from.

Where I live you would have to be at least 7,500km above the surface.
Someone living in Toronto would have to be at least 7,000km above the surface.
Someone living at the South Pole would have to be 7,250km above the surface
