Astronomy/Aurora Borealis

Question
We are going to the Pembroke, Ontario area and would like to know the best time and location to view the Northern Lights.

Answer
To which I would answer, no one knows! The Northern Lights are not like rain, you can't forecast it in the same way. Looking at a Google Earth map Pembroke is on the border between the US and Canada and as such has a very low magnetic latitude (making the northern lights very rare). My only advice would be to register with Space Weather.com and sign up for a Aurora Alert.
