Question
Some websites show that we are due for a lunar eclipse on July 11th 2010, others do not. We are also scheduled for a New Moon on that date.
My question is how can we have lunar eclipse on the same day as a New Moon if their is no moon visible

It's a solar eclipse on the 11th--not a lunar eclipse.  During the new moon, the moon passes between the sun and the earth.  And in this case its path will take it directly between the two---covering up the sun for certain parts of the earth.
