Question
WHICH ARE THE THREE FUNDAMENTAL (MAIN) FORCES IN UNIVERSE, SCIENTISTS ARE TRYING TO EXPLAIN WITH A UNIFIED/SINGLE EQUATION?I HAVE HEARD THAT TWO FORCES HAS BEEN DEFINED BY A SINGLE EQUATION. PLEASE GIVE THAT DERIVATION / EXPLANATION AND WHO DID IT .

Answer
Hi Vivek,
Sorry, but I am not a math major or physicist... just an amateur astronomer for over 50 years.
But I know there are 4 basic forces, not three. Gravity, Electromagnetic, the strong nuclear force and the weak nuclear force. Just from reading about it, I believe they have combined all 3 forces (except for gravity) using cyclotrons and mathematics. The combining of 3 forces only holds (applies) in the very early hot, dense life of the Universe, within less than one second after the Big Bang conditions.  I understand that gravity is the only holdout now, for a complete GUT (Grand Unified Theory).  Perhaps we have to still define (and discover) the Higgs Boson before gravity can be combined with the other forces.  I believe that's the purpose of building the very large, new CERN cyclotron on the France/Switzerland border. Personally, I don't see much practical use of such knowledge, as even after Gravity is finally combined with the other 3 forces, it probably only applies to the Universe less the the first micro- nanosecond ABB (After Big Bang), or even a shorter time period.  So...  what can we do with it after we have it??????  Anyone want to create another Big Bang now in our Universe?  I don't think so.
That's the best I can do for you with my limited knowledge of the subject, as I only know what I read about it.

Astronomy has been my hobby/pasttime for over 50 years.  Currently own 3 telescopes, the largest of which is a 30 inch Newtonian truss Dob that is portable.I taught Astronomy/Meteorology at the University Level for 13 years before retiring in 1995. Being retired and home most of the time, I am able to answer all questions relatively quickly, unless it's a new moon weekend with good observing conditions.  No astrology questions please, or questions about alleged UFO picture identifications.
