Question
what are the opportunities for an electronics engineer in the field of astronomy?

Hello,

I don't really see any such opportunities (other than in a kind of maintenance capacity, say for the electronics associated with radio telescopes or other instruments) if one has no specific astronomy background. That would include all or most of the specific courses, requirements that an advanced M.Sc. would obtain, say in the States.
