Question
1. How does eclipse happens?
2. How often does it happens?

Answer
An eclipse happens when the moon (400 times further away from the sun, but 400 times smaller) appears to block out the sun completely (or if you are in the wrong place) slightly and happens on average about every six months or so somewhere in the world.
