Astronomy/Formation on planets?

Question
Hi Ed,
I am doing a lot of research into the creation of the planets and how they were created. Is there actual evidence that the earth, sun, and other planets formed at the same time?

Answer
James,
You have great timing.  It just happens that only last week, some new studies of the soil from the moon, brought back by Neil Armstrong in the 60s, suggests that we might need to reevaluate our theories about the origin of the sun, the Earth, and the planets.  Look at this link, and follow the links at the bottom of the page for more recent information.

Expertise

I am not a professional astronomer by any means, but astronomy has been an interest of mine since childhood, and I am well-informed on the subject. If unable to answer someone`s question personally, I will know how to quickly find the answer online, because I keep myself informed about developments in the field and I know where to look for information.

Experience

I worked in an observatory for awhile at one point, doing various interesting things with a computer.
