Question
How are Quasars formed?

Answer
Hi,
Jamie from what i have last read on the subject, quasars are but the cores of exploding newly forming galaxies.
they arent white holes or any such thing.
Regarding the 'how', guess that has to wait! For cosmologists are still trying to find out many things about the early universe, especially what happened during the dark age of the universe after the bang had cooled off and temperatures had gone into the infrared region.

That was the time the first stars were just forming and had not yet blazed forth from their dark gaseous cocoons.
(A process that can still be seen in the M16 Eagle nebula,
the EMBEDDED GASEOUS GLOBULES or EGGs!).
