Astronomy/Science Fair Projects
Expert: Ed - 7/16/2005
QuestionHi. My name is Kevin. I was wondering if you knew of any good and advanced science experiments for a school science project. I just want to let you know that I will not copy you ideas. I will read your ideas and use them to help me think of other science fair experiments. Thank you very much for your time and your help.
AnswerKevin,
I'm sorry that I'm a little late, responding to your question. I took a little vacation this weekend. I probably should have alerted AllExperts.
Anyway, first of all, here are a couple of fantastic websites to get you started:
http://school.discovery.com/sciencefaircentral/scifairstudio/ideas.html
http://www.all-science-fair-projects.com/
If you have trouble getting the links to work, you can e-mail me again. I don't mind.
You will need to make up your own mind. To get started, you ought to be thinking about what science topics interest you the most. What are some interesting topics that you might have heard about in the news lately?
Perhaps you heard about the recent Deep Impact space probe, to the comet Tempel One. Here is a NASA website about the mission, with some educational activities that you could possibly try:
http://deepimpact.jpl.nasa.gov/educ/index.html
Maybe you're interested in global warming, and the greenhouse effect. Maybe you could talk to your science teacher, and try to think of some interesting projects which could help you to demonstrate what the greenhouse effect really is.
There are lots of things you can do, but you need to decide what general topic you think is the most interesting. Once you decide upon something interesting, then ideas will just start occurring to you. You won't be able to stop thinking about it! Them time will fly, and everything will get more interesting, (although it might not necessarily get much easier)!
I hope this is helpful. Feel free to e-mail me again if necessary.
Keep Looking Up!
