For general reference, use

1 - Look up history at
http://www.fi.edu/pieces/hiley/history.htm
2 - I answered that in the last question. just look it up.
3 - The space-suit is not a one-man-show, it has many components, and is the result of targetted group effort. Thus we cannot name a single inventor. Just like vulcanisation of rubber was a prime requisite before rubber tyres (inflated or solid) could be "invented", so were there many allied inventions before a space suit was made.
As i discussed earlier, divers, were already using pressure suits, pilots G-suits and so on.
4 - NO fecal matter is handled by latest space-suits. As the EVA time is short. They can however handle 900 ml urine.
Collection is done by devices that fit the body openings.
5 - The skylab had a regular shower with water temperature regulated. Shuttle crew intead, use sponge baths.

6 - Sleeping accommodations aboard the Shuttle vary, depending on the requirements of the particular mission. On the first flight, astronauts Young and Crippen slept in the commander and pilot seats. They wanted to be instantly available if needed. Later crews slept in their seats, in sleeping bags, in bunks, or by simply tethering themselves to the orbiter walls.
