Stars - What are they for?

Jayen

Again thank you for your respose.

Yes of course, such thinking can only lead to a toothe ache! If you asked an ant for the meaning of EMC2 it would probably reply S_U_G_A_R.

We are indeed not equipped with the capacity to phrase a pertinent question regarding the true nature of the Universe let alone  propose
meaningful answers.

Your comments regarding indian "philosophy" as source of secular philosophical thought is interesting. I have in the past struggled with the need to take on board certain elements presented as facts (see paragraph one).

Thanks

Mike

Answer
Hi,
Okay Mike, bye...that was an interesting exchange afterall despite the so-called "small" question! :)

post script:- You quite galvanised the philosophical part in me..(I have a metaphysical bent)..here is a link that might interest you..it mentions the hiranya-garbha sukta of the riga-veda (the indian creation myth), where even the existence of god is openly questioned..hence i said indian philosophy is "secular" and not disposed towards this or that god! for the sukta clearly considers god(s) as passe!
Incidentally it is here that the description as a series of negations starts.
