Question
How much light is received by the earth(especially by our India) in 1 day?And what amount of money is spent by the Indian Govt. in producing electricity for the street lights ,suppling it & maintenance the street lights all over India in 1 month?

Answer
Hi,
Since you are asking about "light recieved (whether by India or earth..) as a function of time, i will answer that the solar constant is 1.4 kw/square met at noon when the sun is at its peak.
This power has to be averaged out depending on daylight hours per 24 hours..(this will vary depending on summer / winter) also the figure 1.4 will vary as the sun's peak intensity itself will "apparently change due to the seasonal tilt due to the earth's axial inclination.
The second question i wont be able to answer.
You may surf the web foe info on alternative energy resource allocation by the govt of india.
