Question
This is the closest category I could find...

In time zones, does UTC = GMT, but without British Summertime,
so that in the summer it's actually GMT-1?

Answer
Leila,

UTC basically equals GMT, but see this link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_in_the_United_Kingdom

If you're going to be googling this stuff, I think you might have slightly better results if your separate "Summertime" into two words, "Summer Time," which is the more official version.

Keep Looking Up,

Expertise

I am not a professional astronomer by any means, but astronomy has been an interest of mine since childhood, and I am well-informed on the subject. If unable to answer someone`s question personally, I will know how to quickly find the answer online, because I keep myself informed about developments in the field and I know where to look for information.

Experience

I worked in an observatory for awhile at one point, doing various interesting things with a computer.
