Question
what are soalr and lunar eclipses

Answer
hi
All Eclipses occur when sunlight falling on one body in question, (earth or moon) is obstructed by another body (moon / earth).
example:-
1 - solar eclipse occurs when moon obstructs sunlight coming to us on earth, ie we pass thru it's shadow.
2 - Lunar eclipses occur when sunlight falling on moon is stopped by the earth ie the moon passes thru the earth's shadow.
Eclipses occur all over the solar system.
Just as our solar eclipse occurs when the moon obstructs the sunlight falling on the earth, like wise, On jupiter the various moons of jupiter cause solar eclipses on jupiter.
And like wise it is all over the solar system for all planets with satellites.
