have to study different topics,is that high or average."

Answer
Hello,
Astrophysics!
Dear you aught to be going in for hard science and NOT engineering.
You would be going to IISC Bangalore to my knowledge or TIFR Bombay for Astrophysics.
The IIT's are more into application of physics to mundane issues and not about development in star theory or the cosmos.
Your Math and Physics has to be very very good to be an Astrophysicist like S.ChandraShekhar, Jayant Naralikar, Fred Hoyle etc.

One can become an engineer easily, but not all become astrophysicists.

Never choose a profession based on mere "likes and dislikes"! [ok though, if those are in tune with your abilities].

It would be worth while to meet the head of the college placement officer (with your parents alongside), and checkout if any institute offers a course in astrophysics.
I do not know of any.

Think about it and choose wisely, after knowing your strengths and weaknesses.

Your whole life could be at stake there.
