Question
How far can we see into space using most powerful telescopes?

Answer
Hi There:

We can see back to very near to when the Universe began....well over 13 billion years ago.  SO what we are seeing ( actually collecting the light photographically, since none of the really big telescopes use eyepieces or visual observing any more ) are objects that are more than 13 billion light years away.
