AnswerHi Shaima!
Oh man! Why do people of muslim origin have to ask questions followed by 2 or 3 "?"
If you just want the answer, go to the bottom to the area marked "your answer".
If you want a piece of clinical advice based on interesting muslim history, read the answer and judge impartially.
First things first..do not be offended by what i am saying, but it is precisely this type of thought process which is NOT GROUNDED in reality, which is the bane of present day muslims!
The Arabs who conquered spain and founded the exquisite cities such as Granada there, which made the europeans green with envy..who taught europeans to clothe well and bathe well..
(had street lighting and hamams 1000 years ago! And which ultimately made europeans see the LIGHT), were remarkable men of science.
The were Free thinkers and were un-fettered by religious hogwash!
They did not waste time on trivialities and partook of knowledge no matter from where it came. Al-khwarizimi's work on algebra (based on Indian scholar work on equations, and arabic use of indian decimal numerals familiarised europeans to numbers. Else the poor creatures could not do advanced maths beyond 1000s, and no decimals please!
After the fall of the Caliphate with the sack of Bagfdad under Halaku Khan (1200 ad?), the muslim world has been continually spiralling into oblivion under the "guidance" of hirsuit mullahs - who measure piousness by the length of the beard - and the might of the tartar sword (kazakhs)!
Just today a lengthy discussion was held on Pakistan TV whether wearing of a watch during namaz was haram or halal !
For gods sake lady..think!
Neither is the sky going to fall nor is the earth going to stop turning nor will the sun rise from the west! That has not happened for 3,500,000,000 years of the earth's existence, and will not happen for another 5,000,000,000 years till the sun fades away..when it wont matter!
Our religions muslim or christian or hindu or buddhist are all man made, and we have been around for only 10,000 years as intelligent beings.
In just 200 years of science, we have gone to the moon.
Realise, religion and science are two distinctly separate entities. Do not mix them.

Retrograde motion of planets is not REAL REVERSAL at all, but an APPARENT slowing down and reversal of motion, as observers on one planet look at the other planets, as they all go around the sun.
This happens because of velocity differentials in the orbital velocities as well as progressive changes in angular position of each planet in its orbit.
As simple as that..Nothing "kayamatic" about it.
Shed your doubts and fears and embrace science as a true muslim should! Your religion has a wonderful tool called ijtehad. interpretation using ones discretion.
Do it!
After all did the prophet not say "a day spent in pursuit of knowledge is more worthy than a day spent offering 5 namaz's" or something to that effect?
