Hello Chris, i wonder can you help me please. I would like to find a site where i could possibly get a picture of the sky at night (either from a telescope or such like) for the nights of 28.02.71 & 16.07.73. I really do look forward to hearing from you with any sugestions as i am now lost. Thank you for your time, Becky.

Hi Becky,

The only way I know of to get an image of the sky at night on those particular dates would be with a sky program. It would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to find an actual photographic image. But I can help you if you're looking for the position of the planets, moon, or the constellations. Can you give me a bit more info about what exactly you're looking for? You can email me at rigel@gbronline.com. I'll be more than happy to help.

Chris          Hi Chris,
Constellations would be good or the position of the planets. What i was planning to do was to print off two pictures from the dates that we (my boyfriend and myself) were born, just to have something a bit different and personal on the wall. Thank you very much for your help and time its very kind of you.

Answer
Rebecca,

I came across this email, which had been filed in the wrong place in my email program. I certainly did not mean to go this long without answering, and I apologize for the mix up.

I would still like to help you. Could you please email me directly at rigel@gbronline.com

That way I will be able to send you files.

Thanks, and sorry once again,
Chris

I have been involved in amateur astronomy for 10 years, and have volunteered at a public observatory for 6. I can answer questions about the night sky, what`s there, where to find it, and also questions about how to use telescopes. I love helping kids and adults learn about amateur astronomy!
