Question
What are those things called that appear in space spontaneously and disappear again?

Answer
Hi,
Bart hope you are NOT asking about the virtual particle pairs that pop up in absolute space (vacuum) and disappear shortly.
here is a link, but the physics is too abstruse.
just read up the stuff for fun and forget it!
I suspect neither of us is qualified enough to understand what an eigenvalue is!
No use biting off more than one can chew!

else just type "virtual particles" in google.
you will find many pages.
