Atheism/Treatise by Catherin Yurica

Question
QUESTION: Have you heard about the "Dominionism" plan which Catherine Yurica states IS being implemented by fundamentalist Xtians in the U.S.? According to C. Yurica it appears it was mainly due to the push by the super-godly folks that allowed GWB to be (sort of) elected in 2000 and that also got that goof re-elected (probably by fraud) in the Nov. 2004 election. My question is whether you've read C. Yurica's interesting paper yet on the drive for "dominion" by the ultra-godly faction. I'd also like to know how serious you regard the threat of the drive for Dominionism. Yurica's interesting paper may be seen at the site  http://www.yuricareport.com/Dominionism/TheDespoilingOfAmerica.htm   Thank you!

ANSWER: Yes, I'm familiar with Dominionism and have written about it a number of times. I think that Dominionists are completely serious and would do all they promise if they ever get power. Whether they can get power is another question. Currently they can't, but if the economic and social situation in America deteriorate far enough, their chances will increase. It doesn't take a large number of highly motivated people to effect change, especially if they are willing to use violence and their opponents are insufficiently organized.

QUESTION: Can you recommend any sites or blogs where I would be able to log-on and be fairly sure the conversations there would be with non-theists? I've posted non-theist comments on some sites alleged to be for non-theists, but had learned that quite a large number of religious folks also were logged-on those sites too. That led to a lot of pointless and time-wasting discussions with theists who were trying hard to refute the statements made by actual non-theists. As a result it was 'divined' those theists felt they were earning brownie points "in heaven" by having us non-theists stay busy chasing our tails. Any recommendations you may have that lead to my being able to communicate with non-theists (atheists) will be appreciated greatly.

Answer
I don't know of any sites where theists are banned entirely and most sites for atheists will attract at least some theists looking to argue or convert.

However, I can say that the forum on my site has a large number of atheists who don't just chat about religion, but all kinds of things: politics, sports, movies, books, computers, you name it. Having conversations with atheists about any old thing isn't hard. However, there is no guarantee that no religious theists will show up in the threads on religion. Fortunately, you can put on 'ignore' anyone you don't want to see posts from. So they are only as annoying as you let them be - if you really don't like them, you can ensure that they never bother you.
