Atheism/Hello

Question
Hi,
I was reading some of your replies and came along some interesting things. For example your belief in the big bang. The quran talks about the big bang in exactly the same way it was proven today. Aside from this quran has many other scinctific facts. Someone thousands yof years ago could not have known all these facts. Does that not prove it is devine? Have you ever read the quran?

Also as a person of faith and religion i can give facts which will prove the existance of a creator and sustainer. Can your give any evidence to thr contrary, that their is no creator and sustainer? I have asked many atheist this and they had no evedence at all to back up their belief. SO technically you cant be an athiest if you believe in somthing which you have no evedence of.

Thanks,
Zamir

Answer
1. I no more "believe in" the Big Bang than I "believe in" gravity.

2. The Quran doesn't talk about the Big Bang "exactly the same way it was proven today." There's nothing about Planck Time, for example.

3. Yes, I've read the Quran and people like you trying to "prove" it by claiming it anticipated modern science are no different from people doing the same with the Bible, and Upanishads, etc. It's just an attempt to parasitically leech credibility from modern science for ancient and unscientific texts.

4. I don't need to prove that there are no gods, I merely need to find that the arguments from people like you are inadequate to support the claims being made. Thus far, people like you have universally failed to make a good case.

5. Atheism isn't a faith or a belief, it is the absence of belief in the existence of gods. It is the default position against which theistic claims must be proven - or at least supported well enough to justify rational, provisional belief.
