Question
On about.com you said " Religious Jews commonly object [to displaying the ten commandments] because they believe the Ten Commandments should be taught to Jews by Jews, not by the government or by Christians." I am doing a research paper an am wondering if there is a place I can go to see a Jewish relgious leader actually saying something to confirm it.
Thanks

Answer
I don't have any quotes off-hand, but here are a couple of links to get you started:

http://www.tbsofs.org/RabbiLondy.asp
http://www.beth-elsa.org/be_s0128.htm
http://www.uscj.org/CivLib10_Commandment5333.html
http://www.jewishsf.com/content/2-0-/module/displaystory/story_id/3095/edition_i...

I know that there are other links out there, but I don't have the time to hunt them down right now... your best bet would be to contact conservative and orthodox Jewish organizations. You would probably get more than one opinion and that would make for more interesting research.
