Atheism/god religion and the end
Expert: Austin Cline - 12/16/2006
Questionhello.
im going to start here. simply put, athiests say there is no god.
Now I want to ask you a question about this.
When a cake is baked, can it be there without a baker? When a video game is made, can it be there without someone to make it? This relates to, how can the universe be there without a creator?
Scientists say universe has always been there, that doesn't make sense. Then they say big bang (which in islam, is real) therefore meaning that what was before the big bang? How can life just start out of no where, without a something to guide it?
Well science cannot answer any of these questions at all.
True, athiests put up good arguements, unfortunately athiests or scientists cannot prove evolution, start of life, start of earth or the start of anything in the universe. You say evil is in the world, I've read those sites and none prove god doesn't exist. There is no way for anything to start without something to start it.
Religions could be tempered with and changed. The bible has been changed... Religions like hinduism and buddhism, with all due respect believe in spirits and such, all of which is rejected scientifically and by the abrahamic religions (islam, christianity, jews).
There are many religions, however most are just started by important figures in the world and people believe in them for no reason other than simply they think it is right.
Abrahamic religions all suggest the same thing such as heaven/hell, creationism and so on.
Another point I'd like to make in this is the end of life.
I take it you all believe once you're dead, that is the end of everything. However has this been proven? no.
Science overall hasn't been able to answer any real questions and never will.
They reject religions and god, but scientists die and that's that.
One final point I'd like to point out.
Islamic Cosmology and science.
In Islam (as i am), it speaks of a big rip, big bang and expanding universe.
For those who reject religions and saying it could have been created by anonymous figures, how could the quran, say those things, when then people didn't even know about the universe?
Science just figured out about big bang, big rip and expanding universe theory. Islam said this 1400 years ago.
How can you explain all of this, and the universe without a creator?
Answer"im going to start here. simply put, athiests say there is no god."
This is a mistake. Atheism is not defined this way:

"what was before the big bang?"
There is no such thing as "before" the Big Bang because time is a function of the universe. That's like asking what is "north" of the universe.
"Well science cannot answer any of these questions at all."
Just because it hasn't doesn't mean it can't.
"True, athiests put up good arguements, unfortunately athiests or scientists cannot prove evolution, start of life, start of earth or the start of anything in the universe."
Evolution and the Big Bang have as much support and prove as any other part of science.
"I've read those sites and none prove god doesn't exist."
Not my job. Theists make the claim, so the burden of proof is theirs. And yours.
"I take it you all believe once you're dead, that is the end of everything. However has this been proven? no."
Proven enough: all evidence demonstrates that who and what we are is dependent upon the physical brain. Absolutely no evidence points any other direction. The evidence would be more than enough to be accepted in any other context.
"How can you explain all of this, and the universe without a creator?"
You don't say anything that needs explanation. There is nothing about the universe that requires any creator, gods, or anything like that. Gods are as relevant as elves and fairies.
