Atheism/no subject

Question
I've heard this phrase - am not sure of the origin.

But what does it mean? And how does one live up to it when one is agnostic and does not have any religious faith?

Answer
I believe the phrase is of Christian origin, so I don't expect a non-Christian agnostic to "live up to it." Why should you try to live up to something based on the doctrines of a religion you don't follow? The list of such doctrines could be endless and many of the doctrines would contradict each other. Why single out this one to try to live up to?
