Question
do you think attention deficit disorder can affect athletic performance?  Running competitively is my whole life and I just cannot push myself anymore (I am never sore).  I still go every day and am willing to put the time in but when running, my mind goes crazy and I usually cannot finish runs and certainly cannot do anything anaerobically?

Answer
i am not medically qualified however if someone has ADHD then focus and concentration can have problems and therefore as these are essential to sport that the person remains focused and concentrated this can cause a problem

we do have a good article on my main site at http://www.adders.org in the information section about ADHD in Sport which may be of interest to you

hope this helps

take care
