QuestionHi. I am 35 year old female struggling nursing student. I am also a mother of two and have in the past seen a psychiatrist for depression/anxiety. It seems that the only time I have anxiety is right before exam time. By the time I take the exam I have to read the questions over and over again. I try my absolute hardest to study and do well on the exams. But it seems that during the exams I get overwhelmed and go blank.I get to the point where I am just guessing because I don't have the attention span to critically think about what the question is asking and what the correct multiple choice answer might be. Mind you I have studied for a week or more for these exams. I don't know what to do or what kind of doctor to see. I feel like such a failure even though I study I get confused things get jumbled, overloaded, and my mind just gives up on me-blank then I panic. Can you please give me your insight or some direction?
AnswerIf you want me to advise you I will need to know what your problem is.
Neither have you stated if the doctor prescribed any medication. Rather than to guess, I would suggest I do an internet assessment on you and then advise. To do this just email me a request for an adult assessment <ethbil@netactive>. There is no cost involved.
