hi
I just want to ask about overfocused ADD since it resembles with OCD and it is difficult to diagnose.what is the main diffrence between overfocused ADD and OCD.BOth have obsessions but what is the diffrence?

By definition Attention Deficit cannot be overfocused. But a patient with ADD, and an overdose of stimulant medication might be overfocused (zombified). Thus there is a situation but not a condition "overfocused". OCD on the other hand is a spesific clinical condition that may exist on its own or be associated with ADHD. They are not overfocused but obsessive and driven. Overfocused does not have obsessions they are over inhibited. There is a world of difference between overfocused and OCD. Apathy and depression may also co-exist to make it more complicated. ADD/ADHD do not necessary have obsessions mut might steer in the direction of their talents and avoid their short comings. Who can blame them!
