Question
I am a 26-year-old woman married with two children.  I suffer from ADHD, and I am on medication 30 mg aderall once a day, it works I don’t know what I would do without it, however I keep loosing weight I cant gain no matter what.  I am a small size by nature, but I would like to gain15 pounds at least.  What can I do to put on the pounds fast?

Answer
It would be difficult to give you a good answer as you have not given your actual weight and height. However even with these facts I would have to know if you are loosing weight because of the treatment you are on  which is possible or you have another medical condition  causing you to loose weight. Without examining you I would only be guessing. The best I can suggest is  you see your doctor for a general medical check up and ask him to advise you. If the stimulant is the cause of your weight problem a swop to Strattera might be advisable. Strattera causes less suppression of appetite than your Adderall but may work just as well as Adderall.
