Will taking medications for ADD lead to a more natural ability to focus?  Also will taking medications hinder your ability to learn to focus naturally?

Answer
If one is short sighted glasses help you to see NORMALLY. The visual dissability doed not revolve about what is "natural'. If you have ADD and need help them medical treatment will not make it worse but rather better although artifically as do the glasses. If the condition is in fact a neurological immaturity then with correct managment and correct medical treatment it may well result in one day the treatment might not be required. The treatment enhances ,does not hinder learning!
