QuestionQUESTION: Both my children are taking the medication Concerta. We currently reside in the USA. If we were to move back to South Africa, would we be able to get the medication locally? Also Zoloft?
ANSWER: The answer is yes to both medications. Concerta and Zoloft are used very frequently by doctors involved with the treatment of ADHD and depression in South Africa. The 27mg Concerta is not available in South Africa but the 18mg, 36mg and 54mg are.

QUESTION: Thanks for the quick response. My 10 year old takes the 27mg Concerta, would it be okay for him to take the 36mg if the 27 is not available? He has Aspergers in addition.....
AnswerNo, as an optimal dose is essential, if 27mg is ideal than 36mg would be too much. However it is never a problem as adding a small dose of Ritalin to his 18mg to make up to 27mg would be very simple. Contact me when you get to South Africa 011 4251208.if you need help.
