Expert: Dr Billy Levin - 4/16/2010
QuestionI am terrified to look up any more information on the internet. All I want to know is if long time use of Ritalin can cause the signals in your brain to get jammed so that one ends up confused and disorientated. I often feel I get a sudden feeling of mixed and jammed signals in the brain. Can Ritalin interfere or damage the way signals are conveyed through the brain. This is what caused that feeling where it felt like my mind was moving too fast for my environment. The internet states that Ritalin damages nerve cells and the transfer of signals. PLEASE CAN YOU ANSWER ME I BEG OF YOU!!!!
AnswerIf you read trash and misinformation how in heavens can I advise you. Ritalin has no long term complications whether you believe me or not. Speak to an expert to solve your problems. Surely the doctor who prescribes your medication should be consulted!
